Vice President of Human Resources/ CHRO and Professor, LeMoyne-Owen College
Amy C. Davis obtained her Ph.D. in Higher Education from Jackson State University.
She serves as the Vice President of Human Resources/CHRO and is also a professor in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Her research reflects a deep commitment to understanding and advancing the role of artificial intelligence in higher education, with a focus on supporting institutional effectiveness and equity, particularly within Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
When she is not teaching, Dr. Davis leads strategic HR initiatives that promote inclusive leadership, talent development, innovation, and organizational transformation. She is passionate about building collaborative cultures and aligning human capital strategies with institutional missions. She is an active contributor to CUPA-HR, where she engages in national conversations about leadership development, workforce innovation, and the future of higher education HR.
